Jeep Night at The River

Music billowed through the air September
10 as Jeepers and their guests
gathered for "Karaoke Night" at this
month's Jeep Night. Singers of all ages
showcased their talent with an array of
genres.
Pre show consisted of a barbecued dinner
provided by Burns Motors. It was a
beautiful and serene evening. Although
lightning lit up the distant sky it did not
put a halt on the fun and festivities.
Jon Corya started off the night with his
rendition of Alan Jackson's "Little Bitty",
while infant daughter joined him on
stage, making it a tough act to follow.
But as the night went on both children
and adults went on stage, showcasing
their voices to the crowded venue. Lee
Ann Womack and Michael Jackson
were sung by two incredibly talented
kids ready to win the competition for
their parents. They were definitely the
head turners of the night.
Jesse Pena
sang his rendition of Garth Brook's
classic "Friends in Low Places" getting
the audience hyped. Lou Bar sang several
songs as well, keeping him neck
and neck with Jon Corya, who also kept
the crowd entertained with several performances.
As the night came to an end, the Calaveras
were able to select a winner for
"Karaoke Night". Jon Corya managed
to wow the judges and the crowd and
take home the award for his dad 'Big
Lew' Corya.
Congratulations to all our
Jeepers and participants for being great
sports and showing us their artistic sides.
All eyes were on you and you made it an
unforgettable night.
